WELCOME TO P3

WELCOME BACK TO THE NEW SCHOOL YEAR AND P3!

The children have settled in well in their new class and are picking up the class routines quickly. It was great to see so many parents and carers at our Meet the Teacher evening this week.  I hope you found the evening informative.

Here are some key pieces of class information you may find useful:

Home Learning  A home learning grid will be issued every four weeks (on the 1st Monday of each month) This will be posted on our class page of the website.  It will include information on what we will be learning in class and lists ways you may be able to help support your child’s learning at home.  We will be sharing our home learning in class on Mondays and Fridays so your child will need to make sure they have their home learning jotter in school on these days.

Clothing Please make sure your child’s belongings have their name on them.  This includes all clothing, coats, gym kit, water bottles and lunch bags.  It makes it so much easier to return lost items to their owner if they have a name on them.

Library Our class visit the school library on Thursdays.   Children are able to borrow up to 2 books at a time.

Cursive Writing The children are developing their skills in cursive writing.  An information sheet about the cursive style has been sent home.

Parent Helpers Do you have a spare hour during the school week ?  We are always looking for volunteers to help with group work, trips, etc.  If you are able to help in any way please let Miss Fraser know.

Tissues There seem to be a few runny noses in class at the moment.  We would gladly welcome donations of tissues if you could spare a box.

Please let me know if you have any questions/queries

Sue Fraser
