Wednesday 1st April – P4/5 & P5

Good Morning P4/5 & P5.

I hope you are all well and haven’t fallen for any April Fools jokes this morning!

Numeracy

This week we were revising our understanding of place value for 5 & 6 digit numbers. This video below is quite useful for reminding ourselves of how these numbers are constructed and written, and how we can partition (break down) these numbers:

Pages 2 & 3 of the SPMG workbook is good revision practice for place value, and if you would like to practice for 5 & 6 digit numbers then try this task below:

Literacy

Everyone should be reading for at least 30 minutes each day.  Reading regularly is the best way to improve your reading skills.  You could read to yourself or with someone in your house.

Mrs Scott has already shared the ending of ReallyWeirdRemovals.Com –  if you missed it, you can access that by clicking here.

Try to complete some of the Book Detective tasks that are in your home-learning bag.  Remember to use your literacy jotters, and set out your work as we would do in class.

Have a great day,

Mr Carson & Mrs Scott.
