Today we had lots of spooky looking visitors in the nursery for our Halloween party! The children helped plan the party choosing the food, activities, games and music. They all had a spooktackular time baking and icing ghost biscuits, mixing potions, carving pumpkins, dooking for apples and playing party games.
This week the children have been talking a lot about the signs of Autumn. While out in the forest this week we noticed lots of changes from the colour of the leaves and the trees looking barer, to the change in temperature. While out on our forest walk this week the children discovered lots of apples which had been blown down from trees in the strong winds. The children were keen to turn the apples into something delicious. We collected some to take back to nursery. The nursery children, parents and staff have been busy in the garden this week. They have helped by digging, sweeping, shovelling, weeding and trimming.
