German w/b 11.5.20

       •    I can name family members

        1.   Revisit the previous task on family members to practise your vocabulary

http://www.linguascope.com

2. This 3 minute activity on youtube will also revise the vocabulary and sets you a challenge to name family members:

        3. You could try drawing your own family tree and labelling the family members in German

TOP TIP – If you have step brothers or sisters the word for ‘step’ is ‘Stief’ ( pronounced shteef),

Can you name these family members?

  1. Die Stiefmutter
  2. Der Stiefvater
  3. Die Stiefschwester
  4. Der Stiefbruder

Monday 11 May – P3

Good morning everyone,

This week’s home learning grid contains a few tasks from an activity book.  A link to the book has already been posted on the P3 page along with a copy of the home learning grid.

In this post I am also attaching this week’s spelling words, a copy of the maths calendar grid (see below), and the photo for this week’s “Guess the ingredients”.   I’ve gone for homemade sweets this week and my recipe only has 4 ingredients so hopefully it will be an easy one to guess!

Please email if there are any problems opening the attachments.

P4 Home Learning Grid – WB 11th May

Good afternoon,

Well done everyone for your continued efforts with home learning. I have received lots of lovely e-mails this week sharing some of the wonderful learning you have been doing at home! I really do enjoy hearing about what you have been doing so, if possible, please do Tweet or e-mail your learning to me via the school admin account.

Here is the P4 home learning grid for the week beginning Monday 11th May.

P4 School Closure HL Grid 11th May 2020

I have (hopefully!) included direct links from the home learning grid to all of the resources you need. This will hopefully make your lives a little easier and enable you to access all of the resources you need from the one main document.

As always, please contact me via the admin account if you have any problems accessing any of the resources.

Enjoy the long weekend!

Miss Prentice

P1 Home Learning

11.05.20 – 15.05.20

Our learning this week will be focused around your sense of hearing and sound. You could take some time this week to listen to your favourite music – and maybe sing and dance along! We are also asking you to listen carefully when you are out and about on your daily exercise – what sounds can you hear?

Here are some fun facts about hearing:

  • You don’t stop hearing when you are asleep – your brain just chooses to ignore the sounds.
  • There are 3 tiny bones inside your ear. They are so small that they could all fit together on a penny.
  • Your ears are important in helping you to keep your balance, too.

There are lots of suggested activities on this week’s Home Learning Grid. Feel free to pick and choose the ones that interest you most. You might even decide to look at how different animals hear…

We are so proud of you all. Have a great week!

Primary 1 have been listening hard this week, while learning all about the sense of hearing. Sometimes it is important to take a moment to stop and listen to our surroundings. It can help us to feel calm in times of anxiety. Here is a brief glimpse of some of the fabulous learning you have shared with us. We are very proud of all of you.
