Hello everyone, I will attach the resources here that are linked in the home learning grid for the week beginning 11th May. As always there is no pressure to use these resources, they are there if you would like to use them to support your child’s learning. Do what works for you and your family at home.

Don’t forget, no school tomorrow……it’s a holiday!
Have a great weekend,
Miss Fraser 🙂
Good morning P4/5 & P5!
I hope you are all enjoying the activities as part of water week! We have both really enjoyed seeing some of your home learning that has been sent in, a fantastic range of activities being done at home.
Part of our maths focus this term is on measurement, and this week we’d like you to have a think about measuring volumes of liquids.
Here are some questions for you to think about and talk about with someone at home…
What is volume? What units of measurement do we use for liquids? Does that change based on how much liquid there is to measure? How do me measure volume, what tools/instruments do we need?
Activity
There are lots of maths activities on the weekly grid for you to try, but you can try this activity from the textbooks in your home-learning pack

Remember you can always share your home learning through the school twiter, or by sending it to the school e-mail: admin@roseburn.edin.sch.uk
Have a great day,
Mr Carson & Mrs Scott
Good morning P3.
How are you getting on with the water tasks? I have seen some great ideas and creative work on Twitter and via email so far.
Here is some water related handwriting for you try today.
Miss Fraser 🙂

Hello P6.
By now, some of you will have received your school e-mail address and password. This will allow you to access Microsoft TEAMS on a PC/laptop, tablet or smartphone. We will be using TEAMS as a platform to communicate with each other and to set work for the week. We hope it will be a place where we can interact more and support one another.
Once you have logged into TEAMS, please check-in with us on the “check-in” channel. In the other channels you will find more information on how we will be using TEAMS. It is important that you read this. We will also be setting assignments for you to complete and we will then be able to give you feedback on your work.
If you have not already done so, please sign the ICT Contract agreement. A reminder e-mail has been sent to those who have not signed it.
We look forward to working with you on TEAMS. Any problems, please contact us via admin.
Miss Dickson and Mrs Birrell
Good morning P3!
As it is a short week there are some changes with home learning this week. Everyone is going to be working on the the same theme – Water. That is very lucky for P3’s because we are learning about water experiments this term! I wonder which activities you will choose from the grid?
If you are looking for some other things to do then why not try some of these:
There will be no new spelling words this week but I have still posted the “Guess my ingredients” challenge so I hope lots of you will have a go at that.
Miss Fraser 🙂

Unfortunately the picture is not the clearest and we have uploaded again here. It is a picture of an adult bathing a child he is holding a sponge and the boy is swinging on the shower curtain holding a sword. The children can create their own ideas. Did something come out the plug hole? Is he Peter Pan fighting the pirates? Let your imagination go wild. It doesn’t matter if they want something else in their story it is the stimulus for a piece of writing.
