Apples All Around!
While out on our forest walk this week the children discovered lots of apples which had been blown down from trees in the strong winds. The children were keen to turn the apples into something delicious. We collected some to take back to nursery.
The children decided to make apple crumble with the apples we collected. They washed, peeled and chopped the apples and weighed out and mixed together the ingredients for the crumble. After waiting for it to cook in the oven until it was golden, we finally got to enjoy our forest crumble. It was very yummy! Everyone agreed it was worth a big thumbs up!

VICTORY FOR ROSEBURN!
VICTORY FOR ROSEBURN!
P5F attended a touch rugby tournament at Murrayfield on Monday 24 September. We entered 2 teams into the competition and both teams played incredibly well. Our “Roseburn B” team made it to the finals and were crowned the winners of the tournament! We were then lucky enough to have a tour of the stadium and saw some of the Scotland players in training. Well done to the whole class for all the great teamwork and sportsmanship that was shown on the day.

Many congratulations to Rebecca, p7P, who is a winner in the Gyle Shopping Centre’s ‘Design a Christmas Light’ competition!
Rebecca’s design will be created from rope lights and will be on display outside the shopping centre from November 21st.
Rebecca is in for a great treat, as her prize includes a limousine trip to the Gyle, dinner at Frankie and Benny’s and the opportunity to switch on her lights with Boogie and Arlene from Forth One!
We look forward to sharing photos with you in November!
Welcome to P6!
We have had a great, busy start to the year in Primary 6. It has been a delight getting to know the class and everyone has settled in well. We have started our Europe topic and each child has been allocated a group and a country to research. In addition, we have established iPad partners so each child has access to an iPad which will be used to support our learning throughout the year.
A reminder that P.E. is on a Monday and Wednesday and I would be grateful if you can ensure that your child has a PE kit in school.
I look forward to the year ahead!
Miss Dickson
