P4F October update

Welcome back to the new term. We have posted the new 4-week home learning grid on the website. We hope you are enjoying the new format and activities….the children certainly are!       This home learning is due to be completed by Friday 17 November.

We are looking forward to our orchestra trip on Monday 27 November. Thank you so much to everyone who offered their services as parent helpers…..we have been inundated with people! Sadly we only have 2 adult tickets per class so we are only able to take 2 parent helpers on this occasion.

Our topic for this term is Time. We will be learning how to tell the time (half past, quarter past/to, etc) plus learning about 24 hours clocks. We will also be focusing on planning and organising events and working out duration.

Both P4 classes have responsibility for planning and organising our Christmas service on 19th December so the children will be very busy this term using their new skills of time management to help select songs, plan content and work out timings for the event.

Our resilience work continues this term. We will be starting a new unit of work called Keep Connected and we will be posting further information about this after our launch assembly next week.

Please let me know if you have any questions or queries 🙂
