Hello p2/3!
I know how much you all love art! So luckily for us Mrs Denvir has come up with some ideas I’m sharing with you.
Why don’t you have a go? You can have some relaxing music on in the background, just like in class!
We are learning to explore colour.
Fold a piece a sheet of A4 paper in half three times. Open it up and you will have 8 sections. In each section add a different colour – you could do this with any art materials you have at home – pencils, pens, paint, pastels…or even with paper from a magazine.
Now use your imagination to give each colour a name, for example, ‘muddy brown’ or ‘cloudy grey’ – can you write these beside your colours?
Challenge – do this with just one writing pencil or one coloured pencil. Can you create eight different shades? Can you make names for them all? Midnight blue, deep sea blue, summer sky……
I can’t wait to see what you do!
Miss Arnot
