What a lovely week in the Nursery. It was lovely to welcome the children back and some new staff faces. This week we said hello to Mrs Singhal and Mrs Hanna.
The children are very engaged and playing together beautifully. They have settled into their routines, especially in the dining room where they are served their hot lunch. The favourite this week was nuggets and noodles, although their ‘spooky’ Halloween lunch was very well received!
This week the children have enjoyed playing name games and memory games for circle time and had an interest in spiders and worms . A small group of children were excited to go shopping with Mrs Bingham and Miss Lawrence on Tuesday. They demonstrated a super sense of responsibility and leadership skills whilst out and about. On the way back they proudly carried their own nursery rucksacks.
On Wednesday, the children made spiders and spider webs with Mrs McNally.
On Thursday we carved pumpkins, took out their “guts” and enjoyed our very own pumpkin soup for afternoon snack with witchy shaped bread, after listening to the story Pumpkin Soup. We ended our week with a fabulous spooky party. We had a witches’ cavern with a very interesting cauldron! Halloween masks to cut out, colour and thread. Some ghoulish green smelly play dough and monster pictures and some fun Halloween games and a spooky snack! Another very busy and fun learning week.
