We have been exploring examples of Egyptian art found in the pyramids of Egypt. Many pictures were carved in stone. The pupils in P2/3 were delighted to be given fruit for their art lesson from the school dinner ladies! The pupils enjoyed the opportunity to observe the fruit closely, describing the colours and shapes they could see. Despite the very windy weather we all really enjoyed ourselves at Sports Day. It was lovely to see all the children trying their best and showing great sportsmanship. Here are some “actions shots” of the day!
P1/2 had a great day out with Earthcalling! We looked at lots of different plants and hunted for bugs. We also tried some new foods such as wild garlic and elm leaves. We learned about stinging nettles and and how to touch them without getting stung! Here are some photos of our day out.
P1/2 really enjoyed their trip to the old town on Friday. We went to Greyfriars Kirkyard and heard all about Jock and his dog Bobby. We then went into Fishers Close and met Aggie the fishwife.
