Designing, Digging and Donations!
After all the hard work last week from our children, families and staff volunteering their time to help us develop our nursery garden by sweeping, weeding, trimming, planting, and painting, the garden is on its way to looking fabulous!
This week the children have been busy writing letters to local businesses asking for their support with our garden improvement plan. On Thursday some of the children took a trip to Screw Fix and Wickes to deliver their letters. The staff in both stores were impressed by our writing and keen to help. They have offered to donate some items to help us to further develop our garden! We are looking forward to their delivery!!
We are so thankful for their kindness and generosity and are excited to share how their donations make a difference to our garden in the near future!

Apples All Around!
While out on our forest walk this week the children discovered lots of apples which had been blown down from trees in the strong winds. The children were keen to turn the apples into something delicious. We collected some to take back to nursery.
The children decided to make apple crumble with the apples we collected. They washed, peeled and chopped the apples and weighed out and mixed together the ingredients for the crumble. After waiting for it to cook in the oven until it was golden, we finally got to enjoy our forest crumble. It was very yummy! Everyone agreed it was worth a big thumbs up!

VICTORY FOR ROSEBURN!
VICTORY FOR ROSEBURN!
P5F attended a touch rugby tournament at Murrayfield on Monday 24 September. We entered 2 teams into the competition and both teams played incredibly well. Our “Roseburn B” team made it to the finals and were crowned the winners of the tournament! We were then lucky enough to have a tour of the stadium and saw some of the Scotland players in training. Well done to the whole class for all the great teamwork and sportsmanship that was shown on the day.
