We have read the story of the ‘Gruffalo’ in Scots and are now learning to perform it as a play. Some of the class have speaking parts and they are having to learn to pronounce the Scots words correctly. Others are making the masks for all of the animals, like the moose (mouse), the hoolet (owl), the tod (fox) and the snake.
To tie in with this, our writing lessons have been focused around designing a wanted poster for the Gruffalo, using Scots language.

This week we have been learning about energy. We have been taught about many different types of energy, such as kinetic energy, chemical energy and heat energy, as well as many others. We focused on energy transfers such as solar energy turning into electricity which can power electrical items around the house.
This week we have also revised and/or learned different division strategies, including changing a remainder into a decimal.
