Roseburn PTA
The Roseburn Parents and Teachers Association (PTA) is a big part of Roseburn school life and also a valuable income source for the school – contributing to the funding of both vocational and recreational activities…from whiteboards to end of year discos!
The PTA is always on the look out for new members and new ideas – if you’re interested in joining us simply drop your name and contact details into the PTA Post Box, which is just inside the main entrance to the school; you can also speak to one of the PTA members, email our chair – roseburnpta@yahoo.co.uk, or just come along to our next meeting in the school.
You’ll find further information by following the menus on the left. Should you wish to view a copy of the PTA constitution click here.

Art Exhibition raises £4200
We are delighted to begin the new year by announcing that our recent Art Weekend in partnership with Murrayfield Church raised an amazing £4200! Thank you to everyone who supported this event in lots of different ways. The money will be used to provide new books for our school library and for families work at Murrayfield
Flood Defence Site Trip
P2 had a fantastic time visiting the Water of Leith flood defence construction site. As soon as we put on our hard hats and luminous vests we felt just like real builders. On our visit we got to speak to some of the builders about their job, find out about what they were building and the materials they were using. Then we got to watch the different machines at work. It was lots of fun!
September 2016
Primary 2 have had a fantastic start to the term! They have been working hard and are full of creativity and enthusiasm for their learning.
We have lots more exciting things to look forward to this term and I am delighted to be working with such a passionate and ambitious class.
August 2016
The morning nursery children have settled well into the morning class and the new afternoon children are settling into nursery routines.
We had a fantastic and interesting time learning about magnets and some children made some interesting discoveries. One child commented “We had things that stuck into the heater cover without glue!” We looked at different magnets and how we could use them in the nursery.
We also had a visit from Mr Bolochowecky, who gave the children an interesting talk all about football. He plays as a defender for Montrose. We enjoyed his visit. Thank you, Mr Bolochowecky.
The Owl Who was Afraid of the Dark!

P1 have been creating some amazing owls from collage materials!
