This week our theme for learning is your sense of smell. This is the first sense we develop – even before we are born! Sometimes when we catch a familiar scent, it can remind us of other times, people and places we have experienced. Try to be more conscious of all the different smells and aromas around you. Both Miss White and Mrs Thirgood said their favourite smell is freshly brewed coffee and Mrs Denvir chose the smell of freshly cut grass! What is your favourite smell?
Here is this week’s learning overview. If this doesn’t work for you, you could consider putting together a mini project on the 5 different senses, in any creative way you choose. As always, we will give you more guidance on the Literacy & Numeracy throughout the week.
We look forward to seeing your Journal updates. Have a wonderful weekend!
Primary 1 have blown us away with their home learning efforts this week. We have had children practising their writing, learning to tell the time, doing science experiments and thinking about the sense of smell, to name just a few activities. Thank you so much for updating your Journals – we really love it when you share your activities with us. And please remember, the activities we send to you are just our suggestions of the types of things you might like to try – only you will know what will work for you at home.
We miss you all dearly! Take care.

WB 27th April 2020 – Resources
Good afternoon,
I hope the first week back after Easter has gone well for you all. Hopefully the weekly home learning grid is helping you to plan your week and try some home learning at a time and in a way that works for you at home.
Please find the home learning grid for the week beginning Monday 27th April below. There are a few resources to choose from this week so I will organise these under subject headings to hopefully make your lives a little easier.
Please do be kind to yourselves and remember that not all learning needs to happen on a worksheet or in a jotter. I’ve loved seeing many of the different things you are trying at home including estimating measurements and making apple juice! You can send any work you would like me to see to the school admin e-mail or post it on Twitter!
Also remember that it’s okay even if you’re not learning loads of new skills like you thought you would – I’ve yet to even attempt one of those dance routines I promised you all!
Take care,
Miss Prentice

Friday 24 April -P3
Good morning P3! This week for your listening and talking task you were challenged to say 3 things about yourself – 2 that were true and 1 that was made up.
I have written 3 facts about myself……can you guess which one is the made up fact? I will post the answer on Twitter after 3pm.
If you are looking for something to do today, why not try some handwriting? I have posted a screen shot for you to copy.
Have a great weekend!
Miss Fraser 🙂
